We are pleased to announce that The Crossville Telephone Company has been awarded a Connect IL grant to build Fiber To The Premise (FTTP) in our rural service area. We have started the design process for this build and plan to start construction in the coming months. This project will be completed in phases with the entire project complete by December 31, 2026.

If you are an existing broadband customer of Crossville Communications, we appreciate your business and are excited to bring you the best broadband service available. This new fiber service will also include your voice service. If you do not currently subscribe to our broadband service, we look forward to serving you.

Finley Engineering will begin surveying this project in the next few weeks. In most cases we will place the new fiber alongside our existing copper infrastructure. Finley will determine if there is a better route for the new fiber design. They will also be visiting your location to determine the best location for the fiber drop to your home or business and placement of your ONT (optical network terminal). There will be no charge to you for this connection, and you are under no obligation to sign up for our Internet service.

As part of our grant agreement with the State of IL Office of Broadband, we will connect every home and business in the grant area. We will be constructing main line fiber and placing handholes in the right of way of your property, even if you choose not to have a drop installed to your location.
